Now According to Forbes Dre earned $110 Million dollars last year. $100 Million came from HTC paying $300 Million to buy a 51% stake into his “Beatz” headphone company. Dre being the great business man that he is then turned around and bought half of the stock back this summer.

With Dr. Dre topping the list of Hip Hop’s Biggest Earners it’s no wonder why he  still hasn’t finished his long-awaited “Detox” album.

“I understand why Dre didn’t finish “Detox,” former Def Jam president Kevin Liles said with a laugh. “It’s called Beats.”

Dre like a few other hip-hop heavyweights make most of their money outside of music.

Diddy although none of his artists will NEVER, EVER, EVER make the list came in second with $45 million thanks to his share of profits from Ciroc vodka of course.  If he keeps coming up with all of these splendid flavors like Peach he will be a Billionaire soon.  Ciroc is so popular that it suffered from knock off  production like Louis bags.  Earlier in the year “Watermelon” flavored Ciroc surfaced on the street.. If you run into a bottle you should know that you are drinking at your own risk. Diddy has not made that flavor yet. 

The man who is married to the baddest chick in the game, Jay-Z, who was last year’s top earner, now comes in third this year. Although he is still a cash King he’s suffered from quite a few financial losses this year. His empire is actually crumbling(read about that here.)

Jay only pulled in $38 million last year. Half of that came from his music and the other half from outside ventures like his ownership stake in the Nets and a deal with Duracell.

Now that the no one really cares that Rick Ross was once Officer Ricky he also spills the beans on his job as a Correctional Officer before his rap career took off. Inside the issue, he talks about his love for weed and if he plans on boycotting Chick-Fil-A.

Excerpts:

On his seizures he suffered last year 
“I’m most definitely an avid user, a pothead, however you want to look at it. I call it green caviar. It’s like a short vacation – it helps me chill out. And people really love it when I chill out, because I can really be a dickhead.”

On his past life as a corrections officer “
This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude. Suddenly I’m talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn’t take nothing for granted,” says Ross. “My homey’s father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, ‘Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere.”

On if he’d boycott Chick-Fil-A 
“Chick-fil-A obviously took their stand. That’s their right – the same way the pro-gay people are taking their stand. I believe everybody got the right to live their own life the way they want to.” So does that mean he’d support a Chick-fil-A boycott? “Naw. I love that spicy chicken.”

What type of question is that Rolling Stone? You asking the King of Wingstop if he’s going to boycott a chicken spot. SMH.  That’s like asking a hoodrat is she’ll stop wearing pink, purple or red hair.

Handler then reveals that she’s a bit too afraid to have sex with the boss. To ease Handler’s fear,  Ross says he’s a passionate lover. “Very passionate, extremely,” he said. This would be a short-lived romance since Handler would want to get married afterward and he wouldn’t. Chelsea’s in luck though! The Maybach Music Group leader is all about compromise.

“We could have the ceremony, walk you down the aisle, everyone’s happy, and we just not sign any paperwork,” he suggested.

Rick Ross pulled off a major feat recently by getting both Jay Z and Dr. Dre on a track with him.  Just getting one on a track with you is a big feat itself and speaks directly to the caliber of rapper you are.

On his most recent trip to Washington D.C. Ross told MTV that  3 Kings is  ”the biggest collaboration in hip-hop.” ever. ”I got on the phone with Dre and we just talkin’ about collaborating and he was gonna come down to Miami for the first time to record with me in my element, in my zone,” Rozay said of the initial seed that was planted for “3 Kings.”

The Boss talked Dre into coming to Miami for his birthday..  The first night there Ross was excited and the two turned out 5 tracks together in the studio.

“He came to Miami. I walked in the studio, I seen big homey, I turnt up,” Ross recalled. “First night in the studio we went and did five records.”

With his Dr. Dre sessions already in the can, Ross called his big homey at Def Jam, Jay Z  to ask  him to put the finishing touches on the record.

“Jay-Z, that’s my big homey man and from day one anything I’ve ever asked O.G. for he always came through for me, so it’s vice-versa,” he said. “He got a gangsta right here for life.” ”Three Kings” will appear on  Ross’ upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t album.  Unknown to many this is not the first song Jay appeared on with Ross.

“Me and Jay had another record already recorded,” Ricky confirmed. “I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only people that could’ve called for another verse, before I put out the other record and get it done. I called him and let him know, ‘Man it’s the one.’

“We cooked up a masterpiece,” he continued. “This is a big joint right here.”

I would have expected Lil Wayne to pull something off like this..  The boss’s has remarkable skills in making enjoyable rap songs.  It was just a few years ago when it was learned that Ross was a correctional officer who made up his drug dealing past..  Fellow rapper 50 Cent attempted to Ja Rule Ross and it seemed like it was going to work at first. One thing they always tell you is to keep putting out good work and people will be forced to love you.

Rick Ross is a prime exemplification of someone who has built a sold career out of pure talent. It’s nice to see Hip Hop working together to put out good music instead of unnecessary beefing.

After seeing a substantially trimmed down Rick Ross at the META gala this week rumor has it that the Boss underwent gasric Bypass surgery..

Over the past few months Rozay had a few emergency visits to the hospital for problems directly related to his weight.  Yet, none of that stopped the Boss from going to Wing Stop to get his grub on.

A source reveals that last fall, Ricky Rozay got “LAP BAND” surgery, which reduces the amount of food he can eat and that he’s adopted a new diet and an exercise regiment, meant to get him into TIP TOP SHAPE. They say he’s already lost 20 pounds and was spotted in the gym sweating profusely while getting his workout on not too long ago.
