Strange, unlike anything I ever heard before – A Woman skin follicles that should produce hair, produces fingernails, on her body. ..

It all began in 2009, while Shanyna Isom was attending college studying to obtain her criminal justice degree.

Shanyna Isom, Before Condition turned her life into a living Nightmare

During her studies Isom suffered from asthma attacks and was put on a steroid treatment to control the attacks.

Very soon after the treatment Isom developed an allergic reaction from the steroid medication, and started to notice, break outs on her legs…

Shanyna went to her local doctors soon after the outbreaks…Where they tested and  treated her for every skins condition around, from acne to eczema. All the test  came back negative.

The condition left Shanya and her doctors, flabbergasted from her perplex, unusual condition.

After three years of stuffing and not knowing what was going on with Shanyna Isom’s skin follicles, a doctor discovered that fingernails were going in places where her skin follicles should only produce hair.

“It’s almost as if it’s a nightmare and you’re trying to wake up out of that,”

Isom insisted.

“I couldn’t sit up; I couldn’t walk,” Isom told the station. “Now I can walk with a cane and sometimes I can walk on my own.”

…Her doctors never heard of any similar conditions.. Luckily for Isom, Doctors have been able to control her symptoms.

The treatments have left Isom in a financial crisis. Her health insurance company only pays for five of Isom’s seventeen medications, and  refuses to pay for out-of state care that Shanya  must have to control her illness.

Shanya family is helping the best they can, by holding fundraisers – She quoted.

“So we had to depend on the family and friends and different fundraisers and things like that to help me get back and forth,” she said.
