Chad Johnson did not return to practice today for the Miami Dolphins and his future with the team is in doubt. The coach of the team, Joe Philbin spoke to reporters today, “Until I speak with Chad directly, it would be premature of me to make any comments about the situation,” Philbin said.

Chad Johnson was arrested on Saturday evening on charges of domestic violence. Apparently he head-butted Lozada. AskKissy obtained full details on the arrest, which you can read here. To the left is the mug shot for the Dolphins wide receiver.
Johnson who talks a lot of big stuff but barely delivers blows on the football field has relatively stayed out of legal trouble up until now. The player even did charitable deeds more than a few times by taking his fans out to dinner. This incident however may tarnish everything he’s worked for.
While many are toting the incident up to be a publicity stunt for their upcoming reality show, this is not a good look for the player. His career could be in jeopardy.
Chad’s contract with the Miami Dolphins is not guaranteed, meaning they would not have to pay his $925,000 salary if they can cut him before the regular season begins.
NBC reports that Johnson may be dropped from his Dolphins football contract due to this incident.
Johnson has brought to the Dolphins the kind of publicity they never wanted. Thus, in order to salvage any credibility with the women they hope will want to come to their games (and/or with the females who own a piece of the franchise, like Venus and Serena Williams, Gloria Estefan, and Fergie), the Dolphins need to sever ties with Johnson — if after conducting a swift and thorough investigation the team concludes that Johnson did indeed commit violence against the woman he married barely a month ago.
The Dolphins issued the following statement regarding the arrest: “We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all the relevant information.”
Johnson has bonded out on a $2,5000 bond and issued a no contact order.
If Chad is dropped he might be around here crying like his twin Terrell, unable to get a contract. As his current contract is already the league minimum anyway. Meaning he barely made it on the team.

Surprised at these responses of he should NOT be dropped. had it been your head with lacerations on it, I bet a different tune would be sung.
