You may be wondering why Latoya Jackson’s name didn’t come up in the recent family drama.. It’s because she is busy with her new job.

Oprah’s OWN has picked up a new reality show based on La Toya’s life called…”Life With La Toya.” The show will follow Ms. Jackson as she hangs with her famous family, life-long friends and builds her business empire.  Oh.  La Toya, who’s also a producer on the show, said:

“I am so pleased to be working with television legend Oprah Winfrey and to be a part of the

OWN family. This will be one of the most exciting adventures of my life.”

OWN co-president Sheri Salata added, “We are delighted to work with La Toya to bring this

new show to OWN viewers.”

We already know the show will be OWN’s first taste of hot messiness. But I’m curious as to what this will do for OWN’s ratings….  I would bet not much …

Despite a hater asking Oprah when she is going to do something for the black community  here in America, O wants you to know that she is very much in touch with her roots.

In Augusts issue of O Magazine, Oprah reveals her full hair of beautiful flowing African American hair. O said she wanted this style for a long time:

“I wanted to wear it close-cropped a la Camille Cosby but her husband Bill convinced me otherwise. ‘Don’t do it,’ he said. ‘You’ve got the wrong head shape and you’ll disappoint yourself.’ I took his advice,” she says. Although, never one to shy away from a style update, Winfrey is a firm believer that changing your hairstyle can change what we see and feel is possible. “I even notice a change in my dogs when they get their summer cuts: they’re friskier and livelier, feeling more themselves once the weight of the hair is released.”
