TMZ is always pretty quick with the trigger when it comes to celebrity gossip.. Sometimes their writings are accurate other times there is just an tiny extra dash of salt added that may not go over too well.

Last week the site posted a story saying that Janet Jackson tried to take Paris Jacksons phone and slapped her and called her a B*tch.. To many these news came as a shock, mostly because it wasn’t true.

Obviously Miss Jackson had to get nasty and get her lawyers involved… TMZ has issued a very thorough apology.

Janet Jackson did not slap or verbally abuse Paris Jackson during a confrontation at the Jackson family home in Calabasas last week.

TMZ published a story last week based on sources who told us Janet went off on Michael Jackson’s daughter after the singer tried to grab Paris’ cell phone. We also reported Janet called Paris a “spoiled little bitch.”

Although we believed the story to be true when we published it, we have now determined it was not correct … Janet did not slap or otherwise touch Paris, nor did she verbally abuse her.

This takes me back to Gladys Knight saying Paris deserves to have her teeth knocked out.. Not only am I appalled by Gladys saying such a thing, but if she knows the physical altercation did not actually occur why would she publicly get on television and say such a thing?? Makes no sense to me..  I just find it beneath Gladys to speak out in positive reference to using violence against a child.

It’s sad to see that the very thing Michael was trying to protect his kids from (public scrutiny) is the very thing they are now going through.. The family is doing the man who took care of them for decades a great dis-justice.
