This Ashanti and Nelly thing has been going on since Jigga and Bey (Jay-Z and Beyonce) . …

Jay-Z and Beyonce has gotten married, birthed  Blue Ivy,  who is almost walking. . Yet, over 11 years later, Ashanti and Nelly still haven’t really made their relationship official to the public, which they have been rumored and seen together for  years  now, SO WHAT GIVES ??

I mean it couldn’t be that fact that they are trying to keep their relationship a secret to maintain career success.  Both of their careers is currently, well let me just say, they have seen better days.

I remember back in 2011, when Ashanti  tweeted this about the relationship  (I’m guessing this is in reference to her relationship with Nelly, but it could be about her Ex-Manager  Irv Gotti, who she was rumored to be the reason he is estranged from his wife, who knows since its seems that she didn’t want to name names ), but haven’t spoken about it since—

Ashanti is a beautiful, talented and respectable lady, still Nelly is unable to admit that they have been  in a serious relationship for over a decade.  Maybe he has some groupie love that he needs to keep up or something.  All these years later, I would think a woman like Ashanti would be ready for marriage by now.

Nelly made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon Tuesday

Nelly  made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon Tuesday where he talked about everything, but you guessed it Ashanti – He even made reference to “Someone Making” (Ashanti) watch Bridezillas, which he is now hooked on. Maybe its Ashanti’s way of telling him –“ITS TIME NEGRO, and I’m MAD” . Direct communications will save a lot of time and energy, just saying . Nelly explained to Jimmy Fallon his love for Bridezillas:

“I kind of got caught up watching Bridezillas. I ain’t gonna front. It wasn’t my idea; it started out as somebody else’s idea and I was watching with them and before I knew it I was watching by myself.

“It’s crazy to me. First of all, weddings is what it is. I understand it’s her day. Men, we get told where to stand, she’ll be here when she get here.

“We don’t get a song. Nobody stands when we come down the aisle. They’re not waiting for us. I get it. To see that and see this pressure on all these women and watch them snap, it’s made for television to me.”

Nelly also  recently sat down with — TV & Radio DJ ProStyle at Kiss & Fly, in an interview with the Breakfast Club…Ashanti was also present.. They tried to get Nelly to talk in detail about his relationship with Ashanti, He kinda spoke about it with hints and clues…Yet still refused to say her name  – He quoted

“I always comment on what I’m doing, now when you comment on who I’m dating and all that, that’s something that seems to be more important to everybody else than to me,” Nelly explained.

“I know who I’m dating, I know what’s going on.”

“Me and babygirl we’re real cool. I don’t think anything’s going to change until me and her decide that we want to change it. But everyone think’s it’s my decision that we say what we say. It’s a mutual respect, it’s a mutual decision that we made.”

After all these years this is all he has to say about the relationship. Ashanti girl run…. You deserve better, but who I’m I to judge… To each his own , If she likes it I love it..
