After legally changing his name to Ochocinco four years ago to reflect his jersey number 85, the Miami Dolphins WR officially changed his name back to Chad Johnson yesterday.

Chad is always up for a good cause. Although the cause this time is a bit more meaningful than the last.  The name change is to accommodate his new wife Evelyn Lozada.

According to the The Ochocinco News Network the couple preferred Evelyn’s last name to be a real name and not the fun “Ochocinco” character we have come to love.”

CBS reports that Ochocinco started the process a few days after his marriage and made the change official today at the courthouse in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

NFL.com reports that Ochocinco made it clear in his new contract with the Miami Dolphins that he would be playing under the name Chad Johnson this season. And the Dolphins are probably hoping that he plays like Johnson, too.

To commemorate the last night of  his legal stage name Ocho gave 200 of his fans a chance to get dressed nicely and dine with him at “Delfini Citta”, an urban Italian Lounge in Beverly Hills last night.

One of his fans showed up looking super hot!
