After months of speculation of who would replace Jennifer Lopez on American Idol there is finally an official placement and it’s not Beyonce.
It’s official like a referee with a whistle.. Mariah Carey who briefly joined A.I. as a guest mentor in 2008 has been tapped to join Season 7 of American Idol.
Mariah is a big name and said to be a nightmare to work with but the show is hoping Mariah will help boost the ratings. She’s a doll.
Carey is definitely excited, especially seeing as to how the show will pay the “Butterfly” singer $15 million a season.

This comes right before news dropped that M.C. will receive a song writers award at the next annual BMI awards show.
Her single TRIUMPHANT (Get ‘Em) featuring ft. Rick Ross & Meek Mill. is set to drop at the end of August.
