Alas. Actress Lauryn London has gotten over the hump that comes with being one of Lil Wayne’s baby mama’s.. The actress has landed yet another respectable lead role as “Kiera” on the sixth season of BET’s The Game.
Replacing Tia Mowry’s character Melanie, Kiera is a former child star who is currently appearing in a Cosby Show-esque sitcom.
Producers are also on the lookout for an actor to play an all-star running back. Both roles are intended to fill the void left by departing cast members Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall (aka Melanie and Derwin).
London became a favorite of many when she played the lead role in role in the 2006 film A.T.L as T.I’s super cute love interest. Lauryn also played Turtle’s love interest on the tv hit show Entourage and starred in Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Big Happy Family” and many other films.
While the The Game’s rating have consistently dropped from it’s opening 7 million viewers in 2011 when the show debuted on BET to an astonishing 2.8 million viewers last season, this casting change could go on to make or break the already fragile production.
Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell, Hosea Chanchez, Brandy Norwood and Barry A. Floyd will all be back for season 6.
Now if they could just bring Meagan Good back again, and throw my other favorite cutie in K.D. Aubert they would have a committed viewer out of me.
ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT LAUREN LONDON JOINING? WILL THIS WORK OUT FOR THE SHOW?
