On the reunion of Basketball Wives, season 4 the controversial Evelyn Lozada attempted to mend her friendship with Jennifer Willams.
To anyone with half a brain they didn’t fall for Eve’s tears as the stunt was only for tv, so we thought..
But Lozada is truly a changed person these days and has taken steps away from the camera to let Williams know that her attempt to reconcile their friendship is sincerity.
After the reunion special aired last Monday, 37-year-old Lozada told VH1 that she wrote a letter to Williams, the former friend who she physically and verbally attacked during the course of season four.
The show’s antagonist admitted that the pair had sparked some dialogue after the show, but that they were far from the best friends that they once claimed to be.
“She responded. She wished me happy Mother’s Day, and we said we would talk, and that was the last of it because I’ve been all over the place,” Lozada told the network that airs the show. “We haven’t spoken since then.”
Now that Jennifer Williams is no longer on the show possibly their friendship may be a little more mendable.
Shaunie O’Neal denies having anything to do with the recent firing of Jennifer Williams, Keisha Nichols and Joyce Reed (I have a hard time even remembering Royce’s name.) According to Shaunie the production company and VH1 “blindsided” her with the decision to axe her castmates. O’Neal insists she learned about the pink slips at the same time everyone did.
O’Neal who is the executive producer says she’s butted heads with higher-ups over the violent direction the show was headed (brawls, fights, bitchiness) and has been ostracized. In the future Shaunie says that she is willing to walk away from the show if it becomes something she no longer believes in.. (meaning, if it fails to be profitable.)
Jennifer probably would have never gotten dismissed if not for her lawsuit against Nia Crooks for slapping her. Nia responded to Williams lawsuit stating that she asked to be slapped. LOL
In court docs filed by Crooks’ lawyer, Javier Solano, she claims the slap was “caused in whole or in part by the culpable conduct, carelessness, contributory negligence or assumption of risk of [Williams].” In other words, Williams is just as much to blame for getting herself smacked.
Crooks also says Williams’ injuries are bogus and is asking the judge to dismiss the suit entirely.
