Iesha Hill, seen here in a Facebook photo with her 5-month-old daughter, was arrested after allegedly putting booze in the infant's baby formula.
Stockton, CA - A California mom has been arrested and charged with child abuse and child endangerment after feeding her 5-month-old daughter a bottle of baby formula mixed with alcohol.
Iesha Hill, 26, was arrested Saturday in Stockton after she realized her daughter had alcohol in her system and took her to the hospital.
The mother 26 year old Iesha Hill reportedly left the girl with a babysitter Friday night.
On Friday night around 2 a.m. Hill’s mother Tressie Pigge, 44 made the baby’s bottle with formula and a bottle of clear liquid that was sitting in a water bottle on Iesha’s dresser.
The baby refused the bottle several times and when mom came home the next morning and gave her the same bottle she refused it again. A few hours later the mother noticed the little girl’s head wobbling.
Piggee said neither she nor Hill could understand why the baby wouldn’t take the bottle several times that evening – until her head started to wobble around 10 the next morning. “That’s when Iesha opened the bottle to see if there was something wrong with the formula – and smelled alcohol.” She then noticed the the water bottle with Bacardi that she left on her dresser was gone.. Piggee then admitted that was the bottle she made the baby’s bottle with.
They took the baby to a hospital in Stockton where she was then transported to UC Davis Hospital for treatment and checked for liver damage.
The medical staff called the police department.
The mother, Iesha Hill, was arrested at the hospital and is facing charges of child abuse and endangering the health of a child.
Hill is currently in custody at the San Joaquin County Jail.
The baby has since returned to normal.

It’s obvious by the mom’s immediate reaction to get her baby to the hospital that this was an accident.
