It’s a book written about the entertainment industry with a bit of a twist.. While giving you the lessons and stories about the “Back Alley” deals, and the shadiness of the industry, the book takes time out between each chapter to explain to you the lessons that you should have learned and what you should do in those situations.

The stories are Primarily Atlanta Based, and written by a woman who spent the beginnings of her adult life in the industry, the book speaks on some Major Players in the Entertainment Game. And the Foreword is written by another Industry Insider and Entrepreneur, my friend C.F. Hutton, who took the time to edit the original version to include an incredible opportunity within its pages.  I won’t give away too much but you can check it out when you get your copy.

The book details the humble beginnings of the music industry in Atlanta.. From the Record label owner who tried to bully his way to the top after being shot, to the talented woman in the industry who can’t get anywhere because she mixes “a little too much business with pleasure.”  The book is full of great stories to go along with the lessons embedded within the text.

The most interesting part of the book was the part about the “Don’t Cha” song by The Pussy Cat Dolls..  They pretty much stole the song, but in a legal way!  You would not believe who had the song in their hands first!  You should also check out the links embedded in the eBook as they draw you further into the written material.  The formatting is exciting which of course makes it easier to digest.  The information contained within is also invaluable because it helps to open your eyes about the way business can be conducted, versus the way it should be conducted.

I found the eBook to be both an easy and quick read!  I see a lot of manuals written about entertainment, but I would actually suggest this eBook to anyone interested in pursuing a career in “The Industry”!  It’s not so much about the shady deals… but more about how to work your way around,  climb the ladder, and develop strong business contacts while maintaining good business ethics.
