I guess the “MisEducation Of Lauryn Hill” also included missing  a course on filing tax returns.

This is starting to get all to common with the famous, they are just not paying their taxes.  Lauryn Hill has decided to do a Wesley Snipe on the Feds. Now The Feds are songing one of Lauryn’s  famous tunes from her time as a member of the  Fugees  (Ready or Not, Here I Come, You can’t Hide, We’re Going To Find You).  That was my Jam !!. Probably yours too.

Yes,  people often run but they can never hide. The Government will get theirs. Like Pac said “I gotta get mines, you gotta gives yours.”

USATODAY reports that  Lauryn Hill has been charged with failing to file three years of federal tax returns on over $1.8  million. Prosecutors in New Jersey said  on Thursday she will be facing three charges for alleged failure to file tax returns for 2005 through 2007.

A criminal information filed in U.S. District Court in Newark claims Ms. Hill operates four private corporations not including her entertainment career, which are  Creations Music, Boogie Tours, L.H. Productions 2001 and Studio 22.  Lauryn’s royalties from the recording and film industries make up her primary source of income, the information stated. According to court documents, in 2005 Hill received a total gross income in excess of $818,000; during 2006, she received $222,000; and in 2007, $761,000. Each of the threetax charges against Hill carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

One June 29^th Hill is scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Shipp to face her current charges.  Lauryn hasn’t been featured in a film for a while, Maybe Tyler Perry could find her a movie role are something because the mother of six young ones, don’t need this in her life.
