I guess being close friends with a wealthy rapper means a lot less then you think it does.

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Dro leased a $134,000, 2007 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT in January 2008. The docs say Dro agreed to fork over a $7,500 down payment and then pay monthly payments of $1,606.62.

But according to the lawsuit, Dro defaulted on the lease and now owes the leasing company $61,220.37. The company has repo’d the Maserati.

The leasing company wants the money it is owed, plus attorneys’ fees.

I’m pretty sure Dro thought that T.I. would assist him on that bill.  While that’s not a lot of money for someone who is making a substantial amount of money, lawd knows how long it’s been since Dro even put a song out.. Wasn’t his last hit back when he was dating Fantasia who is also horrible with her finances?

Oh My fault. Dro loved his maserati so much that he made a video about his Quattroporte and his “exquisite” taste back in 2011.

That car also caught a lot of thirsty chicks for Dro.. Oh well, he still has his ocean waves to fall back on.. At this point those waves run a lot deeper than his pockets.
