Accused Murder Alexander Kinyua to the right, Victim Agyei-Kodie to the Left
Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old Morgan State University student of Maryland, accused of dismembering his missing roommate, then eating his heart and brain. After he dismembered the body he stored, the severed head and hands in the basement, according to reports.
Kinyua, was arrested Wednesday for the murder of Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, .Kinyua was charged with first-degree murder and ordered held without bail Thursday, according to reports.
Agyei-Kodie, a 37-year-old Ghanian immigrant had been staying at the Kinyua ‘s home in Joppatowne, Md., for six months before his disappearance last Friday.
Agyei-Kodie was last seen Jogging in the early morning of May 25. When he didn’t return home, the Kinyuas reported him missing the next day.
On Tuesday, Alexander Kinyua’s brother discovered two tins in the home’s basement that contained a human head and two hands, according to court documents.
Alexander brother asked him questions in regards to his founding. Alexander denied that the parts in the container were human. Alexander Kinyua’s brother informed their father, but when the father with to the basement to view the container it was gone .
The family called Police to the home; the police obtained a search warrant the next day. They interviewed Kinyua, he then admitted to cutting up Agyei-Kodie with a knife and then “ingested his heart and portions of his brain,”. Agyei-Kodie remains were placed in a Church’s trash bin near the home.
Some Morgan State students told reporters that Kinyua’s odd, erratic behavior was well-known on campus.
