Janet Comforting a then 11 year old Paris at Her Father’s 2009 Memorial Service
For years Janet Jackson, her brother “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson and the entire Jackson family, has been visible in the public spotlight. They all have spoken about the effects not being able to have a childhood had on them as an adult.
Now, Janet’s niece Paris who is 14, would like to follow the family tree and become an entertainer as well, landing her first acting roles. Paris will be filming “Lundon’s Bridge” and “Three Keys” later this year.
Janet Jackson is on the latest cover of Preventation Magazine, showing off her new body courtesy of NutriSystem. In the article Janet goes into dept about her feelings on Paris, pursuing a career in entertainment , Janet quoted:
“We’ve spoken about the fact that you’re only a child once. I think there’s a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films],” she told the magazine. “I told her I thought she should enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college — or not — but wait till she turns 18. She’s a very tough, smart girl. But it’s a cutthroat industry. I wouldn’t want my child to do it.”
She went on to say
I got into the business at a young age. It’s not an easy thing,. “Your childhood, you completely lose [it] and I didn’t get to experience that, so she has the rest of her adult life to be that actress that she wants to be, and I told her that”
I understand Janet is trying to be protective of her niece, but what can she expect with Paris growing up around nothing but the media and the entertainment business. It makes sense that Paris would want to become a entertainer, that’s all she knows. I think it will be good for her to start young to know if it’s something she would like to do long term.

Janet Jackson recently enjoyed her 46th, birthday with her current Billionarie boyfriend Wissam Al Mana. Janet tweeted a picture of them in Paris celebrating. Janet who is 10 years Wissam Al Mana senior has been dating since July 2010, coming off a breakup with Jermaine Dupri, right after he tattooed a BIG picture of her on his side. I see why Janet is desperate to keep it tight and has partnered with NutriSystem . Hes younger, handsome and a Billionarie, true Janet is fly but….. She tweeted
”Spending my bday w/my baby!”
Remember when Jermaine Dupri , got the Huge tatoo of Janet on his side, and months lately she dumped him for supposedly getting a stripper pregnant.
I guess he thought this would save the relationship. What does his current girl think of this?

Paris was not 9 in 2009 she was 11. You obviously dont know what your talking about because Michael did Not want any of his kids getting into the industry at a young age. Look what it did to his life and Janet knows full well how much damage it can to because she has been performing since the age of 7. What makes you think you know more about it than them? Look at how many child stars lives went up in smoke because of losing there childhood.Paris can barley keep herself sane from attacks by twitter trolls what makes you think she can handle Hollywood? They will eat that child alive. She better listen to Janet because she is a legend with over 30 years in the business.
Everybody has to follow their own path. I'm not saying Janet doesn't have a good insight on this, I'm just saying at the end of the day Paris has to figure this out for herself.
Paris should listen to her auntie Janet she knows what she is talking about you are only a child once so enjoy it and go to college when you are older. She can also go into entertainment as a lawyer and I a sure she will have a lot of clients.
