After running through a few Hollywood men and having a very painful experience to the point of tears actress Megan Good decided to change her ways by seeking the Kingdom of God first and no longer having intimacy. She made a decision to value her body and lock the goodies up for good until the good lord sent her a husband.
Her fiance DeVon Franklin soon came calling while she was working on the set of ”Jumping The Broom.” Devon who is an ordained minister had no problem with Megan’s revelation that she was celibate and would only let her husband taste the goodies. He too decided to be celibate with her.
The Think Like A Lady, Act Like A Man star decided to discuss her future wedding night with Life & Style Magazine.
Our wedding night will be the first time we’re actually together,” Meagan Good, 30 who also stars in Showtime’s risqué series Californication, confides to Life & Style.
How did she know DeVon was the one?
“Because he was willing to be celibate with me for a year,” she says. “He loves God, more than I love God, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong [with him].”
On where their wedding will be?
“We found the venue, which I’m really excited about, and it’s going to be in Malibu,” Meagan, who met her fiancé while making Jumping the Broom in 2011, tells Life & Style. “I know I want to go for a bayou-themed kind of Spanish mosque, a very enchanted-y Twilight feel.”
Most recently she told Global Grind that she knew Devon would be her husband before he even knew it.
Devon and I had known each other for six years and [Jumping The Broom] wrapped nine months before we even dated. During a couple of those months before, it started getting in my spirit that he was going to be my husband and he didn’t even know.”
I came and did this thing in his church where I talked about my testimony. I already told my godsister in the car on the way over there. Oh, he’s my husband I know that. And we didn’t start dating till three months after that.”
Sounds good, hopefully they are sexually compatible.. If not all the money he has is a nice, cushy pillow.
Obviously this worked for Meagan. But will it work for other women.. Are men really willing to wait on a celibate woman these days and marry her?
