After just one hour of deliberation a jury found rapper Lil Boosie, real name Torrance Hatch, Not Guilty on one count of murder in the homicide of  Terry Boyd..

The 29-year old rapper had been accused of paying $2,800 to Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding to kill Terry Boyd on October 20th, 2009.

When the courtroom clerk read the “not guilty verdict,” Boosie was heard exclaiming, “Thank God.” Many of his family and supporters wept tears of joy. Judge Michael Erwin instructed observers to contain their emotions until they left the courthouse. The square in downtown Baton Rouge erupted into an impromptu celebration immediately thereafter. Throngs of supporters dancing, hugged, cried, and hollered to the heavens.

One Boosie’s family members reacted to the verdict outside the courthouse citing:

“If it don’t fit you must acquit.”

Nine of the jurors were black and three were white.. But Boosie’s lawyers say that did not factor into the verdict. Stating the jury just saw that Boosie had nothing to do with the murder.  Rochelle Wagner, the sister of Terry Boyd and the mother of [Hatch's] child,” said one of Hatch’s defense attorney’s, Martin Regan. “She took the stand and said what everyone else reiterated: there was never any beef between [Hatch] and Terry Boyd.”

The news reporters are hilarious talking about the “Verdict heard all around the world”

This is one of those stories that makes me LOVE my black people.. They crack me up.

This case has caused a lot of stress on his partner Lil Webbie. With this tribulation now behind the rap duo perhaps they can get it together and we will see Webbie out and about not looking like he’s on drugs..

The police chief in the case says “It is what It is” . Lil Boosie is still currently serving time on unrelated charges.. He is expected to be released within the next couple of months.
