Rockford, IL – Elliot Moore has to be the biggest idiot around.. This fool couldn’t find an ironing board so he simply laid an 18-month-old baby girl on her stomach and got to ironing away.. YES, he actually used the child’s back as an ironing board.. WTF!
The 43 year old fool pleaded guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison on the charge of aggravated battery to a child after horribly burning the baby. Charges were filed in February 2010, when Moore was looking baby sitting the small child at her home in Rockford, Illinois.
Moore was the live in caretaker for the mother while she attended school and work.
Unlike most people who would lay a baby on the bed when they needed to get up and do something, Moore told police that he was trying to iron a shirt but found it difficult because the young girl was asleep on his lap.
He decided to use her back as an ironing board, but stopped when she awoke and started crying. Since she appeared to be burned, he splashed water onto her back and put her back to sleep.
When the girl’s mother returned home, she found Moore behaving strangely and saying he had to leave for work. Later that night, the baby girl would not stop crying. Her mother decided to change check her diaper and change her clothes when she discovered a huge, open burn wound circumference the small back of the child.
The child was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
