The media has been speculating for a while about Morgan Freeman, having an intimate relationship with his 27 year old Step Grand Daugther E’Dena Hines. In recent months several new outlets has even reported that Morgan was planning to marry E’Dena.
Morgan said enough is a enough Damn it , and decided to finally released a statement, discharging all rumors.
Morgan Freeman is adamant … he has never had any type of romantic relationship with his step-granddaughter E’Dena and states all reports are just to “defamatory fabrications” to ruin his character.
Morgan recently released a statement responding to reports that he and Hines have been dating for around 10 years and were planning to get married .
Freeman’s rep reports Morgan remained silent for years because he didn’t want to dignify these stories by commenting , now he feels compelled to speak out after the reports were picked up by various supposedly relevant reliable media outlets.
In his statement, Freeman states
”The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”
E’Dena also decided to release a statement she quotes
”These stories about me and my grandfather are not only untrue, they are also hurtful to me and my family.”
Morgan should have commented on this from the start. Times have changed and things rumors spread like wildfire.. How were we supposed to know this is not true? It’s been so long now I’m wondering.. DO YOU BELIEVE HIM?

if he says so then I believe him. I do understand why he chose not to respond to the rumors from the get go but like you said he should have because media has changed.

He never sued for deformation (old School) so I don't know? I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt but he from a really small town in Mississippi and that sort of thing is not so…………….. as they say, UNUSUAL….o_O?
I'm in two minds one one hand yes this could be some one who has a grudge for Mr Freeman's image & these unknown parties have cooked up these malicious rumours to hurt the Morgan Freeman brand…..however on the other hand why wait so long to quosh these fabrications as he refers to it & why not look at suing for defamation of character?? I don't think this is the last time we've heard from this story
I believe him too! Morgan Freeman is too intelligent and talented to have the "we keep in the family" mentality! He should sue the idiotic media for defamation of character!

Isn't that why his wife of 50 years or so divorced him getting half of everything? It doesn't sound right or look right and if its true which sadly I think it may be. He is in the same nest as Mia Farrow's ex Woody with SoonYee who he raised with her as his daughter, then married and adopted more female children? If you raise a child , change it's diapers they call you and think of you as "Daddy" or "Grandpa" whether blood related or not that is just "disgusting"and totally "wrong"!
