NBA legend Earvin “Magic’ Johnson along with his wife Cookie talk the day he told his wife he had HIV.

Filling in for Piers Morgan, guest host Arsenio Hall asked Magic and Cookie  about how they met and reflected on the day that their lives would be forever changed.

Magic was diagnosed with HIV in November 0f 1991. A few days later on November 7, he retired from the  Los Angeles Lakers basketball team.

Now 22 years later Johnson says he did the right thing by retiring. 

“At that time, it was the right decision. “If I knew what I knew today, that I could still play basketball and do my thing, I probably wouldn’t have retired. But I’m a guy that doesn’t have regrets. I don’t look back. I’m happy, because I wanted to be here a long time. We made the right call at that time.”

Cookie was pregnant with their son when she found out that MAGIC had HIV, she then had to worry about if she had it and would pass it on to the child she was carrying.

Interesting how so many marriages break-up over infidelity amongst other things.. Yet, Cookie is still with Magic even after he comes home with HIV.. That says a lot.. It also says just how much money Magic has.. RIDE OR DIE!!
