Octomom has gone on welfare and is facing foreclosure.  Although she swore she would never accept government funds Nadya Suleman is now getting $2,000 from the State Of California.

The money is deposited directly into a special debit card account (see below).  The card can ONLY be used for food — and it’s closely monitored by the State to make sure the cardholder isn’t making illegal purchases — i.e., getting Nadiya more lipo so she can look like Angelina Jolie.

In 2010 — a year after giving birth to octuplets — she would NEVER go on welfare, saying she refused to become “a self-fulfilling prophecy” by accepting government assistance.  But Nadiya soon realized it’s hard to find a good man to help you out when you have 14 kids… Octo qualified for the card because her income is less than  $119,000 a year …. and a family of 15 that makes less than that amount is entitled to welfare benefits. 

The $119,000 figure is based on an average of just under $8,000 for each member of the household.  The more kids, the more you can make and still receive welfare.

Dang, California welfare pays well.

On another note: Octomom and her kids may also be homeless soon.

Nadya Suleman and her 14 children are facing eviction from their La Habra, Calif. home, the Los Angeles Times reports. Still, she may get a bit of a reprieve because the foreclosure sale could be delayed until late April according to her lawyer.
