Just moments before Trayvon Martin was tragically shot and killed by George Zimmerman, he was speaking on the phone with his girlfriend, fearful and feeling as though he was being followed.

“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man,” his 16-year-old girlfriend said. “I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.” She says that Martin felt as though he’d ultimately given his killer the slip, before Zimmerman cornered him.

“Trayvon said, ‘What are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the headset just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone,” she said.

Call logs confirm her story. The phone call between Trayvon Martin and his girlfriend occurred just five minutes prior to the police’s arrival on the scene. It is also being reported that Zimmerman, who took it upon himself to self-appoint to Neighborhood Watch, was not actually a registered volunteer of any Neighborhood Watch group. Florida State Attorney Norm Wolfinger has called for a grand jury investigation, and the Justice Department and the FBI are getting involved as well.

The existence of this phone call “blows” Zimmerman’s “absurd self-defense claim out of the water”. Zimmerman claims he was attacked from behind by Trayvon while stepping out of his truck to check the name of the street he was on. But everyone knows that Zimmerman was a crazed Neighborhood Watch Captain who thought he was the police, so he knew exactly what street he was on.

So far, police have accepted Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense and have not charged him. This phone calls makes what we already know very obvious.. But somehow Zimmerman’s trigger happy azz is still out free and not even free on bail, just a free man..
