Unlike Wal-Mart who has the audacity to sell “The National Enquirer” with Whitney Houston’s Casket photo on the front page, right there in front of the checkout aisle, Target has decided to be more sensible . The retail chain made a smart decision to remove greeting cards from their shelves that could seem to some as mocking the late Icon. Unbeknownst to me, The now removed greeting cards were available at Target stores quotes:
“Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston.”
I wonder do they have the same ones mocking Rihanna? Anyway, the cards were available long before Whitney’s shocking death. I’m not sure for what situation or for whom a person would give this card . I’m guessing it’s supposed to be one of those humorous cards
A rep from Target reports ,
“The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston’s death. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores.”
I’m sure Whitney wished, like most women do of their mate, that Bobby was a more affectionate husband and father, but these greeting cards are a lil much.
In other news, Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston has decided to revisit the room her daughter died in. Cissy has made plans to visit room 434 at the Beverly Hills hotel to find closure. Cissy feels by revisiting the room she will reestablish a spiritual connection with her daughter. Cissy also plans to pray and spend some quiet, contemplative time in the space.
Updates are surfacing today about Whitney’s sudden death on Feb. 11. Her death is expected to be officially ruled an accident, a source with knowledge of the ongoing investigation confirms . The Houston family always believed her death was accidental and not a result of deliberate action taken by Houston or anyone else.
