Heavy D passed before his time in  Los Angeles early November of 2011.  To celebrate the life of the late rapper Centric TV‘s original documentary released a television special on Monday chronicling the life of Heavy D.

Detailing his life from beginning to end with voice-over by the one and only MC-Lyte the special features interviews  with Dwight Arrington Myers family, friends and industry associates including, Queen Latifah, Cee-Lo, Nia Long, Anthony Hamilton, Big Daddy Kane, Russell Simmons, Will Smith, Mary J. Blige and many others.

His family and friends reveal how much a fun, giving, warm, kind hearted and sincere person Heavy D was. “Helping People Was His Thing”. He wanted everyone around him to be inspired.
