In a cat fight between two of Hip Hop’s greatest MC’s, Drake has decided to quickly call a truce and get his grown man on.   Common and Drake briefly exchanged subliminal disses on Rick Ross’ ‘Stay Scheming’ track and now the fun is over with already.

Drake has better things to do like worry about losing his millions of his new hard earned dollars to some chick who wasn’t with him when he was shooting off his demo tape to record labels.

 Nah Right caught up with Drake and he decided to let his boyish, sweet side take over by soft pedaling his way out of the beef.

In the interview Drake reveals that  he too was someone who looked up to Common as an emotionally expressive rapper..   It’s looking like Drizzy no longer looks up to his childhood rap icon who he is claiming only wanted to battle him because he suffers from the new age version of A.D.D.  

So people want to know: will you respond to Common?
No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a “hip hop moment” or a “battle for the sake of musical integrity”…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album. More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.

Damn, Drake dusted his shoulders off. 

Now that Drizzy has made the line “‘B*tch, you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym’” famous on the same “Stay Schemin” track, in reference to Kobe Bryant’s divorce to Vanessa Bryant, he now reveals that the line was not intended as a personal insult towards Vanessa.

That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.

What Drake is really trying to say is that he got bored with the Common beef.  Instead he’s going to work on being a great actor just like Common is.
