Two weeks ago a jury selection took place and a date was set for Jennifer Hudson’s family murderer , William Balfour  to stand trial on  April 9th. William Balfour was the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia Hudson;  that  went on a rampage back in 2008 killing Jennifer’s  nephew, brother and Mother.

As you know from  high profile cases  in the past, such as O.J. Simpson , Casey Anthony , and Conrad Murray, murder cases  are very popular for  T.V.

Now  that leads us to the Balfour trial. Back in 2008 when the horrible incident  first occurred it set the media in a frenzy  trying to fathom how such a terrible thing could happen to such a talented person who was on the rise. Fast forward four years later, CBS Chicago  reports that the Trial of William Balfour  may be televised.  

The Illinois Supreme Court decision permits cameras and microphones to be used in the courtroom . This decision according to CBS Chicago may lead to the airing of The Balfour trail. A case in which Jennifer Hudson is supposed to take the stand.  The spokesman for the court released a statement about the decision:

“This is another step to bring more transparency and more accountability to the Illinois court system. The provisions of this new policy keep discretion in the chief circuit judge and the trial judge to assure that a fair and impartial trial is not compromised, yet affords a closer look at the workings of our court system to the public through the eyes of the electronic news media and news photographers.

I just feel by televising the case, is a way to explore someones pain and tragedy for revenue…

 But  as we all know , Jennifer Hudson didn’ t let the Tragedy keep her down…
