Last year, back in October Chris Rock started an eruption of hope by stating that he and Dave Chappelle might go on tour together. 4 months later and still we haven’t heard any news that makes it official.
When asked what the hold up was Chris said:
“I’ve been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour. You know I’m not the hard one. But I’m trying to make that happen. After seeing Kanye and Jay-Z, I was like, ‘Me and Dave should do this.’”
This would be so nice to see.. Although Chris Rock isn’t that funny (not to black people) the two joining forces would definitely make comedy history.. A this point I would not pay to see either perform by themselves but together I would defintely attend in hopes of getting a good show.
Although truthfully, Chappelle may have good reason to be apprehensive about such a big tour. On his last tour the comedian got booed at his own show because he forgot the words to his act. CLICK HERE FOR THAT VIDEO.
Let’s hope that Dave has recovered and is ready to be great again. Wonder what they would name it? Perhaps the nappy hair and rich crack rock tour….
