Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy E’s Kids Making NWA Movie?
The group N.W.A. (Niggas With Attitudes) are the pioneers of gangsta rap. Composed of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, M.C. Ren, D.J. Yella and the deceased Eazy E. The group made their name by rapping about real issues that were occurring in their hood “Compton”.
They were banned from MTV and basically every television video channel before finally being accepted. Some of their top hits were “Straight Outta Compton”, F*ck The Police and “Express Yourself”. Eventually the group broke up and an all out rap war played out between Eazy E and Dr. Dre.
The battle started with one of Dr. Dre’s disses on ‘Dre Day’: “Thought I was a mark cause I used to hang with Eazy”, to which Eazy E who was the brains behind the group would respond with his “Real Compton City G’s” video.
In 1995 Eazy E checked himself into the hospital for an unknown sickness. Just 8 days later Eazy E would die of AIDS related pneumonia. Before his death Dr. Dre was by his side and made peace with him.
Now the kids of these former gangsta’s may be pegged to play their fathers in an NWA Movie.
Dr. Dre and his wife were outside Red O restaurant in L.A. over the weekend when TMZ asked about the rumor that they were all planning to put their kids in the movie.
Dre responded, “We’re talking about it … we’ll see what happens.”
FYI – Cube has been talking about making the movie for years … and now that he’s putting another “Friday” movie on the fast track … it seems it could be a while before the N.W.A. offspring get their shot at the silver screen.
Good stuff. On a side note, I’m glad Chris Tucker went broke if that means we get another Friday movie with Smokey in it… (ducks under the table after saying that)

I would love to see another friday & i would love to see a movie about Nwa i used to listen to them all the time even though some of they’re lyric’s was a little disrespectful to some women but i did’nt feel it referred to me so i enjoyed listening to them ! It’s really sad how they just shot that man up with aids real talk that’s craaaaaaaazzzzzzyyyyyy but also i feel it was jealousy too because he did make plenty of money & he was killin ‘em with the beats !!!! =) !!!!

Yeah, I saw Friday, but my sense of humor has changed.
i’d only want to see it if it had a positive message to the youths. I’m tired of these ‘black’ movies which depict black ppl in a negative light, then ends on a negative note. If its a comedy then yes, i’d want to see it
