In one of the oddest pairings that Hip Hop has ever seen. Actress/Producer Queen Latifah is partnering with rapper Cameron to make a major motion film to hit theaters next year. While Queen Latifah is a former rapper she has long since put the mic down and has done fairly well in the acting business. Cameron made the classic movie Paid In Full that left fans wanting more.. Maybe this collaboration will be just what the fans were seeking.
While everyone is waiting for a Diplomats reunion album to come out Cameron is actively pursuing the big screen. Cameron Giles recently partnered with none other than Queen Latifah to produce a movie called “Percentages”. The inception of the movie was KillaKam’s idea.
Queen Latifah along with her business partner Shakim Compere formed the company KFU Productions. The new joint venture is a combination of Cam and Jacob York’s Killa Films and Latifiah’s Flavor Unit Films. “Percentages” starring Killa Cam will be the companies first project under the new umbrella. Filming has already started.
Dipset’s head honcho will play the lead. Percentages is a movie detailing the story of two drug dealers forced to go on the run after a deal gone sour. The chracters, “Ant” and “Carter” leave narcotics alone and get their feet wet in the field of credit fraud which catches the eye of not only Miami police enforcement, but also local notorious criminals.
“Cam did the story, and then we brought in a writer to really tighten the script,” Jacob York told AllHipHop.com. “The movie was originally supposed to be the follow up to Killa Season, but we decided to make a brand new movie since the script was so good.”
Personally I’m just glad to see Cam back in action. Rather it’s acting or rapping I support him. DIPSET!
