Earlier This Week Kimsha of Basketball Wives L.A. went on a Facebook rampage discussing her dislike for Shaunie , Evelyn Lozada and a few other cast members of Basketball Wives. A day after the rant Kimsha’s ex husband Ron Artest came to her aide and stated that the facebook page was a phony and did not belong to Kimsha, although personal photos of Kimsha were being uploaded to the page.
According to her interview with Madame Noire Shaunie O’Neal is not buying it:
What are some common misconceptions people have about you and the show?
People think that I start all the drama and sit back and watch it unfold. So not true, the ladies on the show would say drama is the one thing I want to stay away from, on the and off the show. If I can stop some drama or deal with issues by just talking about it, that’s more like me, lets just talk about it like two adults.
People look at you and assume that you’re not discussing your personal life, you want to sabotage theirs, is that true?
I can talk about Shaq all day long, I don’t have a gag order, and he can talk about me. I would never speak bad about him and he would never speak bad about me. But we’re parents first and it’s all about our children. There’s really nothing to talk about. You ask about him and I’ll answer it because I can and he can do the same.
So you’re not intentionally setting these women up?
These are intelligent women, they have enough sense to know if someone setting them up or not and those are my friends. For example Evelyn and I have been friends for 7-8 years, I would never set her up. There are a lot of die hard fans that want the drama and want to believe that there is little ‘ol me in the middle, and I’m somehow making people fight. I don’t have that power. I might have power to do a lot of things but forcing some grown women to fight is not one of them and nor do I want it. I’d love to see all my seasons without one fight, which would be great.
So we’ll never see you put your hands on anyone?
No, never, that is so not me. I can’t remember the last time I got in a fight, maybe when I was a teenager. There’s nothing worth me getting in a physical altercation for, that’s what security is for. I’ve honestly never been put in that predicament.
What’s your relationship with Kimsha?
We’ve never met, so there is no relationship. I’ve met Ron [Artest] before a couple times, but never Kimsha, ever. I can’t say anything about her because I don’t know her.
An ‘Insider’ is saying Kimsha beat you up badly? What is your story?
I don’t know how you fight someone that you’ve never met nor talked to. We’ve never been in the same place at the same time that I know of. And I would never ever fight somebody, I guess you’d have to meet them first to do that, and that’s never happened. So, I really don’t know where all that came from. It’s funny though, because she took a jab at Jen over her Facebook and Jen has never met or talked to her either, so we were clueless where it cam from. So I’ve brushed it off like oh well, whatever.
So Kimsha’s still on the show?
Well yeah, last I knew, she’s still on the show. I’m honestly very hands off with Basketball Wives L.A. I did not cast, nor did I care to cast and I could care less who’s on the show. When they were casting I was very very hands off. LA was already cast by the time I heard the line up and we were still filming Miami. Miami is my baby, it’s my focus.
Have you called or talked to Kimsha?
No, I don’t see why I would need to. I’m not saying I don’t care about her, but their show is done taping. The show is on air.
What can we expect from this new season of BBW-Miami?
We are going to be in different locations this season. We’re trying something new. We’re going to spend about six weeks in New York and film there for a while. We’re going to go to Miami, and I think we’re going to try and spend a few weeks here in LA.
Why is that?
Tami moved to L.A., I live in L.A., Evelyn’s daughter recently moved to LA to go to school, and Suzie has family in LA. So the connection to L.A. is very strong. My life is in L.A. I travel all the way to Miami to film Basketball Wives; none of my family is there. My friends are the show; I’m going there to see them. This next season we hope to shoot in L.A. and you’ll get more of my life, kids, boyfriend, and parents.
I’m actually glad ONE rich one finally says she is too cute to fight and security can handle that. That is exactly how it’s supposed to be. Kimsha’s Facebook Page Rant is either fake, a recantation or a straight denial.. Either way Shaunie just said Kimsha’s career as a Basketball Wife is a wrap.. #NMFF
