Amber Rose in Ghana Talking to The Poor Kids.. Doesn't look like they were that excited by her presence..
Amber Rose recently took a trip to Ghana to host a concert and took time out to speak with students about reaching for (cough)greatness. Apparently she received a bit of a backlash on twitter for only showing photos of the poor people in Ghana.
In response to that backlash she granted this interview:
A writer for Ghana Web was bothered by Amber’s interview and wrote this statement in response:
Did I hear Amber Rose say there are no middle class people in Ghana? And it is either people are extremely rich or extremely poor? I am a living testimony and a true proof that, she is totally uninformed about Ghanaians.
I am not extremely rich and neither am I extremely poor to be living in gutters or dirt as she puts it. I am a middle class Ghanaian and my family has always been middle class. There are several middle class Ghanaians out there living comfortably and not in dirt.
It is absurd enough to bring Amber Rose to Ghana to headline a concert as the only decent credibility this chick carries around is ‘ex-girlfriend of Kanye West’. I therefore expected that she should at least be coached if she is dumb enough not to know that we have middle class Ghanaians.
Not only did Amber Rose parade her ignorance as far as the economic strata of Ghanaians/Africans are concerned, she also presented her view as if there are no poor people in America where she comes from. There are people out there in America living in far disgusting conditions than those she spotted in Ghana.
If someone like Amber Rose wants to comment on Ghana, the best is for her to be informed on what she is saying…And why does she think Ghana is entirely Africa? Gosh! Africa is a continent, Ghana is a country and she just visited Ghana, we have 53 countries in Africa.
Now, I did say my bit about Ghana hosting a woman who leaks naked photos of herself as a representative to teach young girls…. But come on son! Cut Amber some slack. No, she may not be the brightest for her statement. But she was only responding to what she saw with her own eyes. To her what she said was her personal truth.. She didn’t say anything wrong.
People have to remember that not everyone is going to communicate and express themselves in the same fashion. For Amber Rose’s level of intelligence she did a great job expressing her thoughts and the disparities of economic conditions that she witnessed while visiting Ghana. Her heart is in the right place.

messed up thing is she probably got paid for it wich is convinient for her… makes me doubt the person in charge who allowed her as the “chosed one” for that task.
And positive accomplishment was what again.. I blame them not her.. Why did they think she was the right person to come host anything?

There are many Americans who think that everyone in Africa are poor and live in huts. Whats worse is that they say it as if its fact.

Amber is NOT fit for mentoring or ANY type of Role Modeling…..I think we use the word “hating” to frequently….Hating is when a person makes in opinion about a person like for example “Amber looks like a wet dog” or “Amber is engaged to a lizard look alike”………..I actually have facts to prove she need to sit her ass down some where, and become informed, educated, enlightened, and then some…….The term “hating” is being misconstrued….If you do research on Amber, you will see she is unfit to be preaching and teaching………
She didn’t see every part of Ghana. She said she only went to the poor parts so if you only went to one part of a country you can’t speak for the whole country

This is an uneducated female. I have never been to ghana but I know because I read, that ghana has a middle class and most of the continent has a middle class. They should have educated her about the culture. Also, why in the world would Amber be speaking to girls???? There are so many other women (who actually do something positive) who could has taken her place.
