BET celebrated R&B singer Aaliyah‘s legacy Ten years after her tragic death on August 25, 2001. BET honored the beautiful songtress with a tribute entitled “Aaliyah: One In A Million“, featuring commentary from her closest friends & family and a few industry insiders.
The special also took us all back to some of the best hits of the 90′s by showcasing all of Aaliyah’s music videos from “Back & Forth” to “Are You That Somebody” to “We Need A Resolution” & many more.
In case you missed it, watch the tribute below, featuring commentary from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Ginuwine, Damon Dash, Tank, Laurie Ann Gibson and choreographer Fatima.
It was hard watching this video. It brought back so many memories. I was struck with grief of her loss all over again. Life is so precious. Always appreciate the good people in your life.

Ya know what? Looking at that interview they did with R. Kelly at the beginning, I see something that wasn't there before. There's like an evil look to him that's really unsettling….

Yes it was a wonderful tribute!! I have always loved Aaliyah since Back& Fourth and i still love her today.. She was so talented, humbled, and so sweet heart always smiling and very Beautiful!!! Aaliyah will never be forgotten R.I.P Baby Girl!!
