After Part II of Basketball Wives aired last night a sneak peek of the new season of ‘Basketball Wives L.A.’ aired. It’s looking like the drama will be on full throttle and taken up a notch. There will definitely be more fights than there was on Basketball Wives. Jackie Christie who is predicted to be the leader of the pack will be planning her 16th wedding to Doug Christie, who she marries every year. Jackie says “If you are always planning a wedding, you don’t have time to plan a divorce.”
New introductions to the roster will be Laura - Gloria Govan’s sister who is Gilbert Arenas baby mama several times over. Kimsha Artest, who appears to act just like her ex-husband, Lakers player Ron Artest (or Metta World Peace). Now maybe Ron can get his chance at superstardom and lay off the antics and the crying videos, cause I know he has to be on the show still….. Coming off the bench, Draya Michele is introduced as a aspiring model and actress. Obviously early in you can see that Gloria has quite a distaste for Draya because she tells her ‘it’s hard not to classify you as a groupie’ in the preview. Gloria told Loop 21, that she met Draya in acting class she was pretty much chosen to be the ‘Royce Reed’ of the bunch.
Draya was chosen on the cast because we met Draya through acting class and she seemed like a real sweetheart. Not necessarily knowing her background per se, but just knowing she had some involvement. She kind of plays the role of Royce [Reed] I guess you could say, in terms of her role on Basketball Wives L.A. That’s one of the reasons. We just wanted to give everybody a different dynamic, a 3D version of what we have to deal with as wives and different points of view.
Draya is rather pretty and has a lot of style, so I don’t see her being the Royce Reed, but Ok. I will go with that for now. But realize that Draya obviously has a lot of game and I would not be surprised if she blows up after this season.
I can already see how they simply took the personalites of Basketball Wives and duplicated them with replacement cast.

Tammy is replaced with Kimsha, the “I keeps it real girl of the bunch.” Don’t be surprised if she tells you her food stamp story..
Jackie is the new point guard totally opposite of Shaunie but still playing the same position (sort of)
Evelyn is going to be Gloria now, the hey I’m not married but my dude really digs me.
Iman and Maylasia will both be Jennifer‘s, the I’m innocent, classy, and such a phucking lady type, and I have never seen a food stamp.
I don’t know about Laura, but I do know that is not going back to stressing, and worrying how she is going to take care of her kids and pay her bills, this is the beginning of her staking her claim to fame. She’s going to come out fighting for hers!!
This season will turn reality tv upside down. Basketball Wives has all types of fans, like singer Adele.. “My band was out all night getting drunk,” she cracked to an intimate crowd in The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, “while I stayed in my room like a true rock star and watched ‘Basketball Wives.’ ” The show is In for another #WINNING season.
The shows airs on VH1 on August 29th.
