They say all publicity is good publicity but Ambercrombie and Fitch totally disagrees (Or at least for the sake of publicity they are pretending to.)
The apparel chain known for it racy ads and half-naked models does not appreciate MTV reality star “The Situation” parading around half naked in their product. The retailer is actually offering to pay “The Situation” also known as Mike Sorrentino to take off their clothes and tarnish some other companies image brand instead of theirs. Ambercrombie issued the following statement:
“We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans. We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s The Jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.”
I love the cologne that pours out of Abercrombie every time you walk past it. They must be making a lot of money to offer someone to stop wearing their clothes.. Maybe other companies may want to consider joining in to the offer to stop it, like Gucci. I can totally see them paying Gucci Mane to stop using their name. Cristal should of paid Hip Hop to stop popping it’s bottles. But hip hop is not as ignorant as you think it is because Cristal Bottle Popping in Hip Hop has come to a cease.. It’s all about Ace of Spades these days.
Who else should be paid to stop doing or wearing something?
