With sadness in his heart, Reggie Bush said a warm goodbye to the city of New Orleans and his old team The Saints today. In preparation for his new job with the Miami Dolphins Reggie spoke his peace via twitter:
“To the city of New Orleans you will always have a place in my heart I love you guys your are my family & I will never forget our good times.
I wish the New Orleans Saints the best of luck I will always be a fan! The team, coaches, and fans will be deeply missed!
Change is never easy but I look forward to building something special in Miami and can’t wait to embark on this new journey!”
Bush who was drafted #2 to the New Orleans Saints shortly after Hurricane Katrina was traded, early Thursday morning to the Miami Dolphins. His new contract is for 9.75 Million dollars. His old salary with the New Orleans Saints was an 11.8 million dollar base salary. It’s almost like the trade he did from Kim Kardashian to Melissa Molinara… Knocked down a few slots but still looking just as good. Nah, who are we kidding? 2 million dollars is a big difference..
The New Orleans Saints needed salary cap space to sign free agents. They were unable to match Reggie’s 9.75 million dollar offer from The Miami Dolphins.
I’m sure many fans along with his teammates are sad to see Reggie go. But that’s life. Nothing is always except change. That is the one thing that we can always depend on in life. As a professional athlete Miami is a great place to start a new career.
We here at Ask Kissy wish Reggie the best….. We are expecting Reggie Bush to do much better in Miami then he did in New Orleans. What do you think. Will Reggie thrive on his new team?
