I posted this to MY FACEBOOK PAGE yesterday. I found it funny because Oprah posted the photo along with The Words:
“Here I am “CEO-ing” in my new office at OWN in LA!!”
Now, I know for a fact that is not Oprah’s real office. It’s not cushy enough for a Billion Dollar CEO. The Only Thing That was probably Oprah’s in this office is the bottle of water.
But what really intrigued me is that after I posted it, with my response that it wasn’t her real office, the responses I received back were odd to me. I thought the majority of people would also laugh and find the photo funny.
However, the majority of the responders thought that Oprah was being humble and she didn’t need a big fancy office. They enjoyed seeing Oprah this way and being able to think of Oprah and this humble down to earth person.. It actually gave me a revelation..
People would prefer to see you living on humble means. They would prefer to be able to identify with you. No wonder Beyonce is around here talking about how she sweats and blows snot bubbles. Celebrities actually need to do and say certain things in order for the mass to humanize them…

Are you for real? U wouldn’t say humble, but she’s such a publicity person I could see this so yes this could be her office, but I think not. Oprah is too much of a big timer her and Gail.
Yes it’s her office. People with money are more into form not function. As I recall the office in HARPO was used more or less as a quiet space to reflect. I typically, Meet & Greet out of a “Virtual Workspace” but my work area is not much more than this (Desk, phone, laptop, and file). She’s “OPRAH” what does she need to prove. If you don’t know you are probably in the wrong place…….IJS
I’m thinking if it is she just moved in and will be doing some demo work! What’s in their is something the previous person left behind.
And the desk is too exposed…just saying.
AND (sorry Kissy for the many post) I don’t think it has to do with money at all; I think knowing what I “think” about Oprah it also has to do with “Ergonomics” in any work space really!
i dont really prefer seeing Oprah on an office like that,, i think she should enjoy her hard earned luxurious things and stop trying to be humble to please others… IF on the other side she prefers this because she wants to (although i dont see any reason why) then she shall…. my guess is its probably an office in construction process…

Hey kissy, I know this is random…. But im just wonderin when evelyn lozada is gonna stop “being a basketball wife”. Hope she leaves the drama in fl now that chads comin to MA…. Guess ill have to start goin to games to see him lol
that may be one of her offices (that she uses when she needs to have a clear mind and doesn’t want the distractions of all the plushness we all know O has) but that’s not her main office!! lol..
