Kissy, how come you can call other females ugly but you get upset if someone else has the same opinion about you – to the point of writing an entire blog post about it?
You know I like you and your advice, but you are coming across as a little vain and hypocritical in the posts where you basically rant about people who suck because they don’t think you’re pretty. There’s tons of people who don’t think I’m pretty, but I generally don’t respond to it – and you certainly won’t catch me devoting a blog post to it. I am just wondering.
I guess what I’m trying to get at is that I hope you start focusing more on your substance and stop worrying so much about what people think about your countenance. It’s kind of a drag, because this is the second “So-and-so-was-hating-on-m
e” post I’ve read of yours today.You have a lot of substance and a lot of sound advice, but this stuff kind of kills it. Posting pics of yourself is naturally going to draw negative energy, so I think you should either accept it, roll with it, and ignore the haters… or just stop posting so many pictures of yourself. TEARYNE
DEAR TEARYNE:
I have a blog to be able to express my opinions on various topics. That is the whole point of having a platform to speak my mind. I am not asking you to agree or to change your opinion. Actually my bio page states that you probably won’t agree with everything that I say. But I believe my opinion counts.
Your life is all about what YOU believe I am giving my thoughts and feelings on situations that are interesting and compelling to me. You are free to feel as you may, but dont try to silence my voice.
If I were you I would not get upset at people who said I wasn’t pretty either. Cause you are right everyone has their right to their own opinions. In my opinion I can’t see how a sane person could call me ugly….. That is just ludicrous.
Secondly, I don’t understand why people always want a woman to be so down on herself. What is wrong with my joyous confidence. I think everyone should feel like they are beautiful. If a person doesn’t feel beautiful then they are suuuuper ugly or they are just around the wrong people. People need positivity in their life. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH HAVING HIGH SELF ESTEEM.
Anyway, I’m glad you enjoy my advice and I hope you stay a fan Tearyne.
P.S. I really like your “Make it Rain” shirt. I might have to get me one of those.

To the man who commented on your blog, I first have to say that I didn’t say that Kissy isn’t pretty. I think she is. However, I’m certain that don’t think she is. That’s on them. I know that not everyone considers me pretty, but that’s not my problem; it’s theirs, and Kissy should think the same of her detractors.
Secondly, I gave up on getting offended when people think I’m ugly. I’m either too light, too black, too thick, my teeth aren’t straight… Whatever. To each his own. I am who I am, this is the way I look, and minus any improvements like braces and working out, if someone can’t accept that this is the way I look, that’s ON THEM. I don’t think everyone I see is good looking. But Kissy is a public figure, and there’s going to be people who try to get her goat every day, either because they are jealous of her popularity or her personality or they just don’t find her attractive.
Lil Guy – I won't make any allusions to what you may or may not be alluding to with your name…
First off, I don't get offended when people don't think I'm pretty, etc., whatever. I've gotten to the point where that stuff really doesn't matter to me anymore. Second, I don't really care whether you think Kissy is prettier than me or not, because I don't care. I like her advice and her spunk and I want to see her keep doing that and succeed. She shouldn't waste her energy on crabs in the bucket that just want to bring her down.
Also, you paraphrased my question: I was basically wondering why you were getting mad when other people called you ugly, but you do it from time to time about other people whose pictures you post. I’m a believer that if we throw stones, they’ll come back to us eventually, and if we can’t handle that… then maybe we shouldn’t be picking them up in the first place.
I would guess she gets upset because whoever calls her that is blind as well…other people
